Program Description
Led by Ana Catalina Román, former Ballett Frankfurt soloist, longtime assistant to William Forsythe and current Assistant Artistic Director of Compañía Nacional de Danza, this exclusive three-day intensive offers dancers a rare opportunity to explore original choreographic material from Enemy in the Figure.

Having worked directly with Forsythe since 1984, Román performed in numerous works created with and for her, including Enemy in the Figure, before becoming his assistant and staging his repertoire internationally.
Throughout the programme, participants will immerse themselves in Forsythe’s distinctive choreographic language, exploring its physicality, speed, spatial complexity and radical transformation of classical ballet vocabulary.
Drawing on her direct experience performing and staging the work, as well as her expertise in Forsythe Improvisation Technologies, Ana Catalina Román will guide dancers through the movement principles, repertory and artistic details that define Enemy in the Figure.
Created for dancers seeking an in-depth repertory experience, the intensive offers exceptional access to the choreographic language and working methods of one of the most influential choreographers of contemporary ballet.
